58 Mile Sock

Color Porridge stripe
SizeUK 9-12

Product Description

The 58 Mile Sock is named after the journey the fibre takes. Just 58 miles from recycled wool fibre to finished sock, with the yarn spun in Yorkshire and the socks knitted in Derbyshire.

A lighter, more refined crew-length sock, sitting at around 7 inches above the ankle, with a slightly higher leg than the 21 Mile.

Designed for all-season use, it's built to feel light and comfortable across changing conditions, particularly in everyday and more refined settings.

Constructed with a single jersey knit through the leg and foot, it creates a smooth, flexible structure that sits comfortably inside shoes without bulk.

A 2×2 rib cuff provides a clean hold, while a high heel construction and added yarn in the heel and toe improve durability without compromising its lightweight feel.

At around 50g per pair, it's an easy, versatile sock — suited to office wear, dress use, and relaxed everyday settings.

Merino lambswool naturally helps regulate temperature, keeping your feet warm in the cold and comfortable when it's warm. A performance fibre for the sport of life.

Care

Air Wash™

Merino wool naturally resists odour, so it doesn’t need washing as often as many other fibres. Often the best way to refresh your socks is simply to air them between wears. Washing less saves water, energy and helps your socks last longer.

Care

Look after your socks and they’ll last...

  • Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a wool or gentle cycle
  • Use a mild wool detergent
  • Dry flat

Merino wool and cashmere are delicate and can be damaged by other fabrics in the wash, so we recommend turning your socks inside out before washing to protect them

Too much heat and rough washing or spinning can shrink the socks and make them permanently stiff — you could hand them down to a smaller friend, but they won’t feel the same…

Avoid

  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not iron
  • Do not dry clean

Shoddy Wool

These socks are made from shoddy — mechanically recycled wool. Like all wool, and especially shoddy, they can shrink if not cared for properly.

If they do get smaller, try putting them on your foot while still damp — you might be able to gently stretch them back to their original size.
